Singer - pianist - songwriter - entertainer & producer
Stevie Wonder, Diana Ross, Pat Boone, Little Richard, Elton John, Michael McDonald, Al Jarreau, David Foster and Quincy Jones are just a few of the big names that Alfred McCrary has had the pleasure to work with during his thirty-year career.
This began relatively early for today's experienced musician, since the talent was practically born. Growing up with gospel, blues and jazz, he recorded great success with his family “The McCrary's” in the USA in the 1970s, among other things with the No. 1 hit “You”, produced by one of the now most successful producers “David Foster” - and even Stevie Wonder on the harmonica.
This was followed by trips to the pop world. Alfred McCrary was responsible for the backing vocals of the Michael Jackson songs "You Are Not Alone", "The Earth Song", "I Will Be There" and "We Are The World", the lyrics of which were written by him.
He was mainly inspired by great entertainers such as Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra, Elton John, Lionel Richie, Stevie Wonder and George Michael, who strongly influenced his own style of music and provided an enormous range in his repertoire.
Thanks to his many years of experience, McCrary always finds the golden mix of gospel, classic jazz and modern entertainment at his concerts. Alfred McCrary, who settled in Munich in 1994 after several visits to Europe, quickly found favor with the local music industry. Since then, Alfred has been a star guest and highlight of many events by well-known big bands, soul & funk bands as well as jazz, blues and gospel groups with whom he performs together.
The passionate song writer and producer is also a welcome guest as a solo artist at various events such as corporate galas, charity events, international trade fairs and award ceremonies. For the past 8 years, however, his heart has been loudest in a duet with his wife Natascha Wright. With his piano playing, his expressive voice and his unique personality, he always inspires the audience.
Alfred McCrary successfully organizes “Gospel Workshops” in Frankfurt and the surrounding area and always as a highlight at the end of the year a great gospel concert. This gospel spectacle with many gospel guests and a specially compiled gospel choir takes place again this year in the Gibson Club in Frankfurt.
Alfred McCrary has been campaigning for various charity events for years: Brave Art, a foundation initiative for the disabled. Alfred McCrary & Kollegen Benefiz have been organizing concerts for the benefit of the parents' initiative for children with leukemia and cancer for the Regenbogen station in Würzburg for many years. In 2014, a record amount of EUR 42,000 had been achieved.
