The most successful disco band ever comes to Europe.
Their hits like "YMCA", "In the Navy", "Macho Man" or "Go West" catapulted to the top of the most successful disco bands of all time in the late 1970s.
When the French producer duo Jaques Morali and Henri Belolo embarked on a foray through Greenwich Village in 1977, Felipe Rose suddenly danced past them in traditional Indian clothing. This was when the idea of founding a band that would embody the typical American macho was born. Alex Briley, the group's only GI / Soldier, was also there from the start. Ray Simpson was added in 1979 through the semi-biographical adaptation of the band's story “Can't Stop the Music”. He took on the role of lead singer / policeman when the band stood in front of the cameras alongside film stars like Steve Guttenberg, Valerie Perrine and Bruce Jenner.

The international breakthrough was not long in coming and set completely new accents for the lifestyle on party miles. Not only their catchy tunes took the audience by storm, their stage shows with strong choreographies and dazzling costumes have also become cult people. The audience thanked them back in the 80s with over 65 million albums sold and world fame carved in stone on the Walk of Fame in LA since 2008.

After the death (1995) of biker Glenn Hughes, Eric Anzalone took over his part and in 2013 Bill Whitefield took on the role of David Hodo as a construction worker, while Jim Newman has been the cowboy ever since.
To this day, many of their fans also celebrate as a revolutionary act that fights for sexual liberation, individuality, tolerance and personal rights in flashy colors, ingenious songs and a rousing show. For around 4 decades, Indians, soldiers, police officers, bikers, construction workers and cowboys have been singing and dancing with unbroken masculine strength in the hearts of all those people who like to celebrate with each other carefree and break boundaries.

If you discover a Village People concert announcement these days, it is worth taking a closer look because there are two bands with this name due to "internal political issues". But if you want to experience a large part of the original cast, which has caused a sensation on the stages of the world in the past three decades, then you've come to the right place
